Pediatrics

Pediatric patients represent a population with specific clinical needs. We are committed to supporting safe and appropriate management of children undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, with a focus on tailored approaches and improved patient care.

Pediatric sedation

The preparation of pediatric patients prior to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures or anaesthesia has, as its main goals, the reduction of fear and anxiety in the child, the reduction of discomfort and pain associated with the procedure, the improvement of adaptation to mechanical ventilation and the reduction of the risk of self-removal of invasive devices.
A proper sedation strategy is essential to protect the child during clinical interventions and to control the child’s movements, ensuring both safety and the success of the procedure, particularly in cases where immobility is required.
